To support the participation in EMS sponsored conferences of outstanding students and young scientists
Activities
Currently EMS focuses on the following types of awards:
- Young Scientist Award - Annual award to acknowledge excellence in young scientists
- Young Scientist Travel Award - Support for the participation of outstanding students and young scientists at EMS-sponsored conferences
- Broadcast Meteorologist Award - Annual award to acknowledge life achievements of outstanding broadcast meteorologists
- TV Weather Forecast Award - Annual award to acknowledge best practice in communication of meteorology
- Outreach & Communication Award - Annual Award to acknowledge new approaches to communicate the science of meteorology and related fields to the general public
